David Hicks – Co-President – HomeVestors of America
David Hicks joined HomeVestors in 2005 and quickly developed a process of coaching franchisees as Director of Franchise Systems. From 2006-2009, he coordinated the franchisee support for the company as Vice President of Operations. In January, 2009, he became Co-President with Ken Channell.
From October 1999 to March 2005, David was president of NEFX, Inc. in Richardson, Texas. Prior to 1999, he was president of Success Motivation Institute in Waco, Texas.
David graduated with a BS in chemistry from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos Texas
Kenneth R. Channell – Co-President – HomeVestors of America
Ken Channell joined HomeVestors in 1998 as the Training Director and was named Vice President of Team Development in 2005. He assumed his current position as Co-President with David Hicks in 2009.
Before joining HomeVestors, Ken was Sr. Vice President of Marketing for ERA Real Estate from 1987 to 1996. He began his career with ERA in 1978 when he was hired by Ken D’Angelo, the late founder of HomeVestors of America, to be the trainer for ERA Southeast Texas. He helped ERA to grow from 1000 franchisees in 1978 to more than 3000 in 1996. Ken also headed up the opening of ERA in Paris in 1993.
He has a Masters of Divinity from Duke University, a Masters of Arts in College Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in Sociology and Anthropology. He earned his BA in English and Philosophy from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN.
